OffLeaseOnly Helps Girl Scouts Get Car Care Badge!
When Allison Dogaer of Troop 2051 heard OffLeaseOnly’s advertisements on the radio, she knew that reaching out would work well for her troops next badge. So she called OffLeaseOnly Orlando to see what she could make happen.
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place. OffLeaseOnly couldn’t have been more thrilled to take part in this feel good endeavor.
“We are always looking for ways to help our local community. We couldn’t have been more happy that Allison reached out,” said owner Mark Fischer.
Being honest and fair, courageous and strong, using resources wisely, respecting yourself and others, and making the world a better place are just some of the important values that Girl Scouts instill in our youth. Girl Scout staff and volunteers on a local and national level continually teach, model, and reinforce these values.
Troop 2051 is comprised of six girls that are all in 9th grade. They previously visited a mechanic to learn basic car repair where they discussed and compared different types of car efficiencies, researched and discussed common road hazards, and created a list of safe driving tips.
The trip to OffLeaseOnly was the final requirement for their Car Care badge. The goal was to learn about the safety features of cars and what to look for when purchasing a car. They each received a Car Care Badge after their visit to OffLeaseOnly Orlando, so their mission was a huge success!
Being in 9th grade, they are all working towards getting their learner’s permit this year, so this was good knowledge for them to attain, as well as an important badge for them to earn.
Girl Scouts teach youth necessary life skills, and the Troops are encouraged to use their skills to teach and inspire younger groups. Troop 2051 is looking forward to sharing what they’ve learned at OffLeaseOnly Orlando with younger girls whom they mentor.
Girl scouting goes all the way through 12th grade with the final award being the Gold Award which is equal to the Boy Scouts Eagle Award.
The majority of Troop 2051 have been together since 5th grade, and Allison Dogaer anticipates they will stick together for the duration. They certainly had an incredible time at OffLeaseOnly Orlando, and the ladies of Troop 2051 are excited that driving is in their near future!
Being a Girl Scout looks great on college applications giving each member of the Troop a leg up on the competition. Not only is it great for getting into college, but the values and knowledge taught helps tremendously in all facets of life.
“Girl Scouts are the ultimate form of empowerment for young women. I was a Girl Scout when I was younger, and aside from these girls getting a badge, I felt it was even more wonderful to be able show them that OffLeaseOnly empowers women with unlimited opportunity,” said Ejola Cook who is OffLeaseOnly’s Chief Administrative Officer.

OffLeaseOnly is always looking for ways to give back to our local community and couldn’t be more thrilled to be in a position to help Troop 2051 attain their goal! OffLeaseOnly Helps Girl Scouts was just another endeavor of outreach to the youth in our community.
